Women's Club makes a date to do business
News item: 02 November 2010
Business women from South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire are invited to a one-day business conference that aims to improve the experience and success of women in business.
The event, at Whirlow Grange Conference Centre in Sheffield on Thursday 11th November, will celebrate the launch of Women’s Club; an organisation structured to provide senior female decision makers with practical strategic support. Women’s Club delivers group coaching, peer mentoring and strategic discussion opportunities, aimed solely at women.
The conference is an opportunity to meet like-minded professionals from South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire and generate meaningful business relationships in a productive and dynamic environment. Delegates will build on existing knowledge through informative and relevant workshops and presentations, as well as learning more about Women’s Club and members ‘Pod’ meetings.
Jane Swain, founder of Women’s Club and a Legal Expenses Insurance Broker said: “I am thrilled to officially launch Women’s Club and judging by the response so far there is definitely a demand for business groups catering purely to women.
“We aim to connect female professionals in a setting that allows them to share ideas comfortably and confidentially. Bringing together business women from a variety of sectors will enable us to raise both the level of debate and the expectations of business groups in general.”
Women’s Club members are due to commence ‘Pod’ meetings in Sheffield, Chesterfield and Doncaster, with further groups coming shortly after the conference.
Women’s Club has also made a commitment to supporting the work of City Hearts, a local charity that provides residential, legal and emotional support to vulnerable women that are overcoming serious life issues. Conference delegates are being asked to bring along new and unused toiletries to provide welcome packs for women entering residential accommodation.
The Women’s Club business conference will take place at Whirlow Grange Conference Centre on Thursday 11th November. It is free to Women’s Club members and £15 per non-member - £20 for those who wish to exhibit their commercial materials on pre booked stalls. It will start at 9.30 am for registration and close at 4.30 pm.
